The Birth of PSME-UAE Chapter
Another milestone in the PSME history is the latest formation of a chapter in the Middle East. The PSME-UAE Chapter was formed recently when the Mechanical Engineers in the UAE convened and elected their New Set of Officers last May 1, 2009 at the famous city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The birth of the PSME UAE was the result of the member’s eagerness to uplift the Mechanical Engineering profession and to promote camaraderie among them. With the continuous support and guidance from the Past Presidents and current officers of the PSME in the region, the goal of establishing another unit in this part of the world was realized.
Likewise, the meeting of the UAE based Mechanical Engineers with the Professional Regulation Commission-Board of Mechanical Engineering (PRC-BME) group headed by the Chairman himself, Engr. Alfred Po having Engr. Vic Vosotros and Engr. Leandro Conti side by side proved to be fruitful. Their encouragement and motivation ignited the flame inside the heart of the Dubai based Engineers to push through with the formation of the new PSME Chapter abroad.
To top it all, the ideas and the direction of the VP International, Engr. Murry F. Demdam really matters the most. His untiring support and unconditional guidance put all the things into order. Consistently, he sees to it that everything is in proper situation and moving smoothly.
We wish more PSME Chapters abroad to come…
